Building Access and Security on Sunday Afternoons & Evenings
Several ministries, committees, working teams and others have events, rehearsals and meetings at the church each Sunday afternoon and evening. Deermeadows has a beautiful and functional church campus with various buildings and spaces for gathering. And each of the buildings has various points of entry which makes security challenging late in the day on Sundays. We desire for all of those coming onto campus to have adequate entry and security during those afternoon and evening hours.
On Sunday mornings for Bible study groups and worship, and on Wednesday evenings, all of our entryways are open and staffed by volunteer greeters, deacons and security to ensure everyone’s safe and friendly arrival and departure.
On Sunday afternoons & evenings (any activities after 12 noon), please note the following changes:
*The only unlocked doors now for the Sanctuary building & Music Ministries Suite will be the Sanctuary Breezeway entries, located just across from Founders Hall. The sanctuary drive-through entry will no longer be unlocked on Sunday afternoons, except for church-wide events.
*The only unlocked doors to all other spaces/buildings for meetings, classes, conferences, childcare and ministry activities will be the Church Office entry at the paved walkway adjacent to Founders Hall.
*The Gathering Place exterior entry from parking lot will no longer be unlocked on Sunday afternoons/evenings until further notice. Access will be through the Church Office entryway (see bullet above).
*Volunteer security will be stationed in and around the Sanctuary Breezeway/Narthex & Church Office entries on Sunday afternoons/evenings, where entry is accessible into both buildings.
Thanks for helping make Deermeadows’ campus welcoming and safe for the community!
